A large financial institution was in the process of moving buildings and therefore needed to build a high availability server room within the new site. As experts in Data Centre management, DCResponse were asked to design and build a bespoke power protection solution for the client, adhering to their specific requirements.
The client required a robust long term server room solution that could fully support their future growth. As part of their complex relocation, the client needed to be fully operational from day one with no downtime. From start to completion, DCResponse had just 6 weeks to deliver a fully operational server room.
As with all new projects, a site survey was carried out by DCResponse to assess the client’s needs and discuss the different solutions available. A fully costed proposal was then delivered and signed off by the client.
Part of the approach was to work closely with the client’s consultants to make sure knowledge was shared, communication was clear and the project was managed effectively onsite. This involved attending appropriate meetings to ensure the build was completed on time and on budget.
DCResponse successfully built the whole server room within the time frame. This included the electrical infrastructure, which was made up of two incoming power supplies for extra protection.
