DCResponse is taking part in Twin Town Challenge 2016 in aid of Special Effect

DCResponse is taking part in a charity event to support SpecialEffect under the team name Power Rangers! The Twin Town Challenge 2016 involves driving from Witney to its twin town of Le Touquet in a £500 car. There are 100 cars taking part that will leave from Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire for Le Touquet on Friday 27th May 2016 returning on Monday 30th May 2016.

The cars need to be roadworthy as the teams embark on a cross-channel trip that will take in challenges at Silverstone and at Abbeville circuit in northern France to raise £250,000 for Charlbury based SpecialEffect.  The first Twin Town Challenge in 2014, which involved just fifty cars, raised an amazing £130,000 for the charity.

DCResponse are UPS, generator and maintenance experts based in Witney, Oxfordshire. The Power Rangers team include Jack Ogden and Paul Anderson, who are aiming to raise as much money as they can for this amazing charity. SpecialEffect puts fun and inclusion back into physically disabled peoples lives by using state of the art technology to allow for the use of video games. By levelling the playing field, they help bring families and friends together and having a profoundly positive impact on therapy, confidence and rehabilitation. Every penny raised by TTC16 goes to SpecialEffect.

The Power Rangers are taking a Saab which is over 10 years old and needs some work to get it roadworthy. Paul Anderson recently took it out for a spin and had to call for back up when it broke down. Fingers crossed it makes it to Le Touquet! DCResponse are also sponsoring lunch for over 400 participants when we reach Le Touquet – a veritable feast will no doubt be served.
