Why?
Well, the fire systems and sprinkler systems must be directed to two power supplies. These are the mains supply “main” power source, and an uninterruptible power supply is to be the secondary power source, with an automatic transfer switch to transfer the load from mains to UPS in the event of a power cut while the sprinkler system is being used. This is to come under health and safety and will keep people within these buildings safe should a fire occur.
